That said petition is signed by owners of not less than <br /> one-fourth of the land in said territory by area, and by assessed <br /> value as shown on the last equalized assessment roll of the County <br /> of San Mateo, California, in which said County such territory is <br /> situated; and <br /> 4. That on November 17, 1958, this Council did adopt its <br /> Resolution No. 2594, entitled "Resolution of the Council of the <br /> City of Redwood City Giving Notice of the Proposed Annexation of <br /> Certain Uninhabited Territory to said City; Describing said Ter- <br /> ritory and Designating it by the Name 'Coonan No. 1' ; Making Cer- <br /> tain Findings Respecting said Proposal; and Giving Notice of Time <br /> and Place said Council Will Hear Protests Thereto, " wherein it <br /> gave notice of said proposed annexation, described said territory <br /> and designated it by the above mentioned name, made certain findings <br /> respecting said proposal and gave notice of the time and place said <br /> • Council would hear protests thereto; and <br /> 5 . That the City Clerk has caused a copy of said Resolution <br /> No. 2594 to be published in the manner and within the time required <br /> by law, and has also caused written notice of such proposed annexa- <br /> tion to be mailed to all persons or bodies to whom such notice is <br /> required by law to be given; all in the manner and time required <br /> by law; and <br /> 6. That this Council did in said Resolution No. 2594 set and <br /> designate December 22, 1958, at the hour of 8 :00 o'clock P.M., in <br /> the Council Chambers of the City Hall of the City of Redwood City, <br /> San Mateo County, California, as the day, hour and place when and <br /> where said Council would hear protests against said annexation; and <br /> WHEREAS, this Council duly met and convened at said time and <br /> place for the purpose of hearing and passing upon all protests to <br /> said proposed annexation, and has at the hearing in open public <br /> -2- <br />
