session duly asked for protests, if any, to the proposed annexation <br /> and has given all persons full opportunity to protest said annexa- <br /> tion and has received evidence relevant to such annexation; and <br /> WHEREAS, this Council at the time of said hearing has found <br /> and determined that protest to the proposed annexation of the herein- <br /> after described territory to the City of Redwood City has not been <br /> made by owners of one-half of the value of said territory as shown <br /> by the last equalized assessment roll of the County of San Mateo, <br /> California, nor by public and private owners equal to one-half of <br /> the value of said designated territory as determined by said <br /> Council; <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, the Council of the City of Redwood City does <br /> hereby approve the annexation to the City of Redwood City of all <br /> the territory designated as "Coonan No. 1" and hereinafter described, <br /> and does also hereby ordain that said territory be and is hereby <br /> annexed to the City of Redwood City. The above mentioned territory <br /> which is designated as F4Coonan No. 1P° is all that territory situate <br /> in the TOWN- OF WOODSIDE, County of San Mateo, State of California, <br /> described as follows : <br /> BEGINNING at a point which is the most westerly corner <br /> of that certain tract of land described in Deed .from James <br /> F. Coonan and Lurline R. Coonan, his wife, to Redwood City <br /> School District, recorded July 29, 1958, in Volume 3431 of <br /> Official Records at Page 172, San Mateo County Records <br /> (61612-Q) ; thence from said point of beginning along the <br /> southwesterly line of said tract, South 45° 02' 17" East <br /> 600.00 feet to the most southerly corner thereof; thence <br /> along the southeasterly line of said tract, North 44° 26' 50" <br /> East 452 feet, more or less, to the intersection thereof <br /> with the southeasterly extension of the southwesterly line <br /> of that certain annexation to the City of Redwood City des- <br /> ignated as "HARCROSS ROAD TERRITORY" adopted by the Redwood <br /> City Council on February 15, 1954, under City Ordinance <br /> No 761; thence northwesterly along said extension (Approx. <br /> 20 ft.) to the most southerly corner of said City Annexa- <br /> tion (Ordinance No. 761) , said southerly corner also being <br /> an angle point in the common corporate limits line between <br /> the Town of Woodside and the City of Redwood City; thence <br /> -3- <br />
