private sewerage disposal system shall be constructed and maintained <br /> in accordance with the procedure set forth in Sections 8 , 9 , 10 , 11 <br /> and 12 of this ordinance . <br /> SECTION 8 . It shall be unlawful for any person, firm or cor- <br /> poration to construct , alter , maintain, put into use , or cause to <br /> be used any private sewerage disposal system , septic tank or cess- <br /> pool within the City of Redwood City without first obtaining a <br /> variance from the strict application of Section 2 of this ordinance <br /> in accordance with procedure established in Section LI hereof , and <br /> without then obtaining from the Building Inspector a written permit <br /> to construct , maintain and use such private disposal facilities , <br /> and payment of a fee by the applicant for such permit in the amount <br /> of Five Dollars ( $5 ) . <br /> SECTION 9 . The Building Inspector , before issuing any permit <br /> required by the preceding section, shall require a written applica- <br /> tion to be made and filed, in which application shall be set forth <br /> the following : ( a ) the name and address of the person making sa ch <br /> application , (b ) the location and description in detail of the work <br /> to be done and the facilities to be used or maintained, and ( c ) any <br /> other information deemed necessary by the Building Inspector to <br /> determine whether the proposed work or use complies with the pro- <br /> visions of this ordinance and other ordinances of the City regulating <br /> the construction of sewerage disposal systems on private property . <br /> SECTION 10 . Before issuing any permit under this ordinance <br /> the Building Inspector may require the applicant to furnish a report <br /> prepared by a registered , practicing civil engineer . This report <br /> may be required to include such soil tests , percolation tests , <br /> geological data and design of a sewerage disposal system, based on <br /> such data , which indicates that adequate capacity and percolation <br /> or leaching system is provided. <br /> s-5- <br />
