place for the purpose of hearing and passing upon all protests to <br /> said proposed annexation , and has at the hearing in open public <br /> session duly asked for protests , if any , to the proposed annexa- <br /> tion and has given all persons full opportunity to protest said <br /> annexation and has received evidence relevant to such annexation ; <br /> and <br /> WHEREAS , this Council at the time of said hearing has found . <br /> and determined that protest to the proposed annexation of the <br /> hereinafter described territory to the City of Redwood City has <br /> not been made by owners of one -half of the value of said territory <br /> as shown by the last equalized assessment roll of the County of <br /> San Mateo , California, nor by public and private owners equal to <br /> one-half of the value of said designated territory as determined <br /> by said Council ; <br /> NOW, THEREFORE , the Council of the City of Redwood City does <br /> hereby approve the annexation to the City of Redwood City of all <br /> the territory designated as 9 °Highlands Territory No . 10 " and <br /> hereinafter described , and does also hereby ordain that said ter- <br /> ritory be and is hereby annexed to the City of Redwood City .
