J29 permission to leave the State on his vacation. On motion of Councilman McNulty , seconded by Councilman Jones , Councilman Eva was given per- mission to leave the State . The departmental reports were ordered filed. The approved claims were ordered paid on motion of Councilman McNulty , seconded by Councilman Jones. Adjournment . f j City Clerk BEM: MR MINUTES OF REGULAR MEETING REDWOOD CITY COUNCIL JUNE 17 , 1935 g : oo P. M. Upon roll call , the following Councilmen were present : Mayor , C . G. Lambert , E. A. Fletcher , R. N. Jones , L . C . Christensen , P. A. McCarthy , J. M . Eva, Geo . W. McNulty. Absent : City Clerk, B . E. Myers . The minutes of the meeting of June 3 , 1935 , were approved on motion of Councilman Christensen , seconded by Councilman McNulty. Mr . George Odgen addressed the Council and filed a written complaint against the Building Inspector. Mr. Drathman replied and the matter was referred to the City Manager for a written report at the next meeting. Mr. Seeley addressed the Council about the fortune telling matter of Rev. Sam Wood. on Finger Avenue . Upon motion of Councilman Christensen , seconded by Councilman Eva, the County Grand Jury was requested to look into the operations of Mr. Wood. Mr . John D. Wilson of Toyon Knolls requested water upon his tract of land south of Emerald Lake District . His request was granted , connection to be made under the direction of the City Manager and the City Engineer , with the proviso that there was no capital outlay on behalf of the city and that in case of a shortage of water , the city could at any time cut off this supply. Mr. C . H. Holt also requested water connections outside the city along Cordilleras Road. Upon motion of Councilman McNulty , seconded by Councilman Fletcher , his request was granted with the understanding that if there was a shortage of water the city could cut off this connection. Mr. Holt also spoke on the extension of Rogers Street to the Bayshore Highway and the matter was continued until the next meeting awaiting a report from the Planning Commission. Upon motion of Councilman Eva, seconded by Councilman McNulty , and carried , a resolution was adopted providing for an arterial stop sign at Birch and Broadway streets .
