Adjournment , on motion of Councilman Jones , seconded by Councilman Fletcher. 7 ' / City Clerk / BEM : B MINUTES OF REGULAR ADJOURNED MEETING REDWOOD CITY COUNCIL AUGUST 5 , 1935 g : 00 P . M . Upon roll call , the following Councilmen were present : Mayor , C . G . Lambert , L . C . Christensen , J . M. Eva , E . A. Fletcher , R . N . Jones , P. A. McCarthy , G. W. McNulty , City Clerk , B . E. Myers . Absent : None . The minutes of the meeting of July 22 , 1935 , were approved on motion of Councilman Jones , seconded by Councilman McNulty. Upon motion of Councilman McCarthy , seconded by Councilman Eva , the Bank of America , Redwood City Branch , and the First National Bank , of Redwood City , were designated as banks acceptable for the deposit of city funds . Emil Dehoff asked the Council to agree to some arrangement allowing him to build a ways at the Harbor and the City Manager presented a suggested agreement which he thought would be ad- visable at the time . On motion of Councilman Fletcher , seconded by Councilman Christensen , the Manager was authorized to enter into a contract with Mr . Dehoff in line with the suggestions made . T . J. Henderson , appeared before the Council to ask permission to operate a taxi service in Redwood City. On motion of Councilman Fletcher , seconded by Councilman Eva, permission was granted. In connection with the granting of taxi licenses and especially for renewals , it was decided on motion of Councilman McCarthy , seconded by Councilman Fletcher , that before the issuance of permit or license, sufficient insurance coverage be obtained and approved by the City Attorney. The City Attorney made a few remarks about the extension of Hudson Street and promised further report later. Discussion of the extension of Rogers Street was continued until the next meeting . Councilman Eva asked about parking and traffic regulations . Referred to the City Manager for check and report . Councilman Jones also asked if something could be done about the confusion arising from the and east" extension of Myrtle Street across and south4of Jefferson Avenue . The matter was referred to the Planning Commission for its recommendation.
