159. <br /> WHEREAS , the project proposal for the construction of Unit SB" <br /> Section 1 , of a reinforced concrete storm water culvert along the easterly <br /> side of Woodside Road , signed jointly as sponsors by the County of San <br /> Mateo and the City of Redwood City , as submitted to the Works Progress <br /> Administration , was figured at the security wage rates of $W+ . - $50 . - <br /> $63 . - $69 . , first approved for San Mateo County , and which rates have <br /> since been raised to $55 . -- $65 . -- $g5 . - $94. , and as it appears that <br /> the Federal allotment approved for this project cannot be raised, and as <br /> the immediate construction of this unit is of urgent importance for the <br /> protection and safeguarding of life and property , now, therefore , <br /> BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of Redwood City agrees on <br /> behalf of said City jointly , with the County of San Mateo , to assume the <br /> responsibility of completing this project at the expense of the sponsors <br /> if and when the Federal Funds now allotted , or which may hereafter be al - <br /> lotted , to the project are exhausted, <br /> AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this resolution be <br /> presented before the Board of Supervisors of San Mateo County at its next <br /> meeting by the Mayor of the City of Redwood City, and that said Board of <br /> Supervisors , on behalf of San Mateo County , be asked to join with the <br /> City of Redwood City in the agreement , hereinabove stated , with the Federal <br /> Works Progress Administration. <br /> The approved claims were ordered paid on motion of Councilman McNulty , seconded <br /> by Councilman Fletcher . <br /> Adjournment . <br /> Q .
