269 <br /> in connection with the Emerald Lake Bus , favored the city' s subsiding this service , <br /> and Councilman Jones thought it more desirable for the City to establish a bus line <br /> of its own. <br /> The City Clerk called the attention of the Council to the fact that before the end of March <br /> it would be necessary to decide whether or not to continue the contract with the gar- <br /> bage company or to take over its equipment . The matter was referred to the City <br /> Manager for his recommendation. <br /> The City Manager submitted Plans and Specifications for P. W.A. project for accessory con- <br /> struction to the wharf and transit shed at the Harbor with an estimated cost of <br /> $27 ,000 . Accordingly , Councilman Fletcher , seconded by Councilman Eva, proposed the <br /> following resolution to adopt the plans and specifications as submitted by the City <br /> Manager . Carried. <br /> RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Redwood City that the <br /> Plans and Specifications for furnishing materials and performing acces- <br /> sory construction at Wharf and Transit Shed on Redwood Creek at Redwood <br /> City , San Mateo County, California, for the City of Redwood City , en- <br /> titled "City of Redwood City Specifications for Furnishing Materials. and <br /> Performing Accessory Construction at Wharf and Transit Shed on Redwood <br /> Creek at Redwood City , San Mateo County , California, Federal Works Pro- <br /> ject No . 1445-D , Pablic Works Administration" and "Plans for Accessory <br /> Construction at Wharf and Transit Shed, P.W.A. Project No. Calif. 1445-D" <br /> submitted by the City Engineer to the Council of said city on the 15th <br /> day of February, 1937 , be and the same are hereby adopted as and for the <br /> Plans and Specifications for doing said work. <br /> AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk be and he is <br /> hereby authorized to publish notice inviting bids for said work according <br /> to said. Plans and Specifications and according to the notice to contrac- <br /> tors set forth therein. Said bids to be delivered on or before 3: 00 <br /> o ' clock p. m. of March 1 , 1937 , at the office of the City Manager in the <br /> City Hall at Redwood City , California, when said bids will be opened and <br /> the figures therein computed , and then be referred to the City Council <br /> at g : 00 o ' clock p. m. on March 1 , 1937 , for action and acceptance thereof. <br /> Said bids shall be advertised by the Clerk of the City of Redwood <br /> City for the length of time , in the Redwood City Tribune , the .official <br /> newspaper of said city, as required by law and the Charter of said city. <br /> Councilman Eva proposed , seconded by Councilman Jones , the following resolution adopting wage <br /> scale for labor in connection with this project .
