278 For a place on the Planning Commission , Councilmen Christensen and Eva proposed Edwin DeSmith; Councilman McNulty , Omar Doyle ; and Councilman Hohn, L . E. Werder. Upon roll call , Edwin DeSmith received four votes . He was accordingly appointed to serve on the Planning Commission for the unexpired term of John Gill . The approved claims were ordered paid , on motion of Councilman McNulty , seconded. by Council- man Fletcher . Adjournment to Monday , March 22 , at a o ' clock p . m. NOTE : Attorney Mansfield requested to locate the Deed to the Library site . E), City Clerk BEM : MR MINUTES OF REGULAR ADJOURNED MEETING REDWOOD CITY COUNCIL MARCH 22 , 1937 a : 00 P. M. Upon roll call , the following Councilmen were present : Mayor Paul A, McCarthy , L. C . Chris- tensen , J . M. Eva , E. A . Fletcher , Wm. Hahn , R. N. Jones , G. W. McNulty and City Clerk , B . E. Myers . Henry Witte appeared before the Council to explain the formation , in Redwood City , of an association of Redwood City Insurance Agents , and requested the Council that insurance business be put through this association . He also reminded the Council that there was in his office something like $150 of undistributed commissions . On motion of Councilman McNulty , seconded by Councilman Hohn , it was decided that the association attend to the distribution of these commissions . Mr . Witte also asked if the Council wished to take a half page ad in the Real Estate Magazine as had been done formerly. Because the Chamber of Commerce is taking care of publicity for the City , Mr . Witte was told to confer with Mr. Wyatt , of that organization. There was filed a letter from the Planning Commission , by Daniel Stafford , Secretary pro tem , recommending that the request of Harry Hoefler be granted. Therefore , on motion of Councilman Fletcher , seconded by Councilman McNulty , Harry Hoefler was given permission to subdivide Lot 5 , Block 4 , Oak Knoll Manor , into three lots . Mrs. Chapman , of the Redwood Highlands Company , asked permission to divide Lot 2 , Block 5 , Oak Knoll Manor , into two lots . The request was referred to the Planning Commission. Julius Smith addressed the Council suggesting that the reductions in salaries , made some- time ago , be restored. He said he did this because he was a member of the committee which requested the reductions.
