M . <br /> Upon roll call , the followinrr Councilmen were present : Mayor Paul A. McCarthy , Council- <br /> men L . C . Christensen , J . i.t . Eva , E . A . Pletcher , Vim . Hahn , and G . W. Mc1.7ulty , an1 <br /> City Clerk , B . E . ryers . Absent : Councilman R. N . Jones . <br /> The minutes of the meetine, of June 7 sere approved on motion of Councilman Christensen , <br /> seconded bar Councilman McNulty. <br /> H . F . Anderson appea.reft and submitted petition signed by fifteen merchants requesting <br /> the Council to chnnrne instructions to the Police Department bout the removal of <br /> pin ball games . Mr. Anderson made the point that it was not ille,07a1 to retain <br /> the games if they were used for amusement purposes only . With this the City <br /> Attorney agreed and Chief of Police Collins war instructed accordingly; that is , <br /> pit. ball game machines would be permitted to remain provided_ there r no patY-off <br /> of any nature . <br /> Councilman Fletcher , seconded by Councilman Evn , introduced ( dog) ordinance to regulate <br /> fowls and animals on the city streets . Carried. <br /> The City Manager presented a lease covering the use of the Perry property on Perry <br /> Street south of Upton Bros . , cleaners , said property to be used as a public <br /> parking space . On motion of Councilman Christensen , seconded by Councilman <br /> Fletcher , the City Manager is authorized to execute this lease on the part of <br /> the City Frith the understanding a rental of $300 would be paid by a group of <br /> merchants along Broadray for the first 6 months with a possibility of a renewal <br /> for the following 6 months . <br /> The committee working on the fire restrictions in certain fire districts deferred <br /> making report until a later meeting . <br />
