On motion of Councilman McCarthy , seconded by Councilman Anderson , the Mayor and City Clerk were authorized to sign agreement with the Southern Pacific Connally covering proposed grade separation at the Redwood Harbor spur. Councilman McCarthy , seconded by Councilman Anderson , proposed the adoption of the following resolution of Intention 1938-6 which carried. "RESOLUTION OP INTENTION NO . 1938-6 RESOLVED, that the public interest and convenience require , and that it is the intention of the Council of the City of Redwood City , County of San Mateo , State of California , to order the following work to be done in said City , to wit : That the following described property be vacated and closed as a public street and highway and railroad crossing , to wit : All that certain piece or parcel of land situate , lying and being in the County of San Mateo , State of California , more particularly described as follows , to wit : BEGINNING at a point on the Southeasterly right of way line of the Southern Pacific Railroad Company ' s right of way for the Redwood Harbor spur track which is 8. 5 feet Southeasterly , measured radially , from the center line of said spur tract at Engineer ' s Station 1304.50 ; thence Northeasterly along said Southeasterly right of way line on the arc of a curve concave to the right and having a radius of 1901 . 41 feet ( tangent to said curve at last described point bears South 18°3g ' 3211 Nest ) an arc distance of 49 . 779 feet , to a point ; thence North 69°51128" ^Test 48. 5 feet to a point in the Northwesterly line of the right of way of said spur track; thence along said right of way line in a Southwesterly direction on the arc of a curve concave to the left, and having a radius of 1949 . 91 feet ( tangent to said curve at last described point bears North 20°08 ' 32" East ) an arc distance of 51 . 035 feet to a point ; thence South 71 °21128" East 48. 5 feet to the point of beginning , containing an area of 2445 square feet , m're or less. And said. Council of the City of Redwood City does hereby de- termine and declare that it is unnecessary to take any lands for the work of closing the said hereinbefore mentioned -property and that it is unnecessary to levy any assessment to provide for the closing of the hereinbefore described property . All the herein proposed work shall be done in pursuance of an ordinance of the City of Redwood City entitled "Ordinance No . 333" passed and adopted by the Council of the City of Redwood City on the 14th day of March , 1932 , and commonly known as "Redwood City Improve- ment Procedure Ordinance " ich ordinance is now on file in the office of the Clerk of the City of Redwood City and to which reference is hereby made and the same is made a part hereof .
