On motion of Councilman McCarthy , seconded by Councilman Anderson , the Mayor and <br /> City Clerk were authorized to sign agreement with the Southern Pacific Connally <br /> covering proposed grade separation at the Redwood Harbor spur. <br /> Councilman McCarthy , seconded by Councilman Anderson , proposed the adoption of the <br /> following resolution of Intention 1938-6 which carried. <br /> "RESOLUTION OP INTENTION NO . 1938-6 <br /> RESOLVED, that the public interest and convenience require , <br /> and that it is the intention of the Council of the City of <br /> Redwood City , County of San Mateo , State of California , to order <br /> the following work to be done in said City , to wit : <br /> That the following described property be vacated and closed <br /> as a public street and highway and railroad crossing , to wit : <br /> All that certain piece or parcel of land situate , lying <br /> and being in the County of San Mateo , State of California , <br /> more particularly described as follows , to wit : <br /> BEGINNING at a point on the Southeasterly right of way <br /> line of the Southern Pacific Railroad Company ' s right of <br /> way for the Redwood Harbor spur track which is 8. 5 feet <br /> Southeasterly , measured radially , from the center line <br /> of said spur tract at Engineer ' s Station 1304.50 ; thence <br /> Northeasterly along said Southeasterly right of way line <br /> on the arc of a curve concave to the right and having a <br /> radius of 1901 . 41 feet ( tangent to said curve at last <br /> described point bears South 18°3g ' 3211 Nest ) an arc <br /> distance of 49 . 779 feet , to a point ; thence North <br /> 69°51128" ^Test 48. 5 feet to a point in the Northwesterly <br /> line of the right of way of said spur track; thence <br /> along said right of way line in a Southwesterly direction <br /> on the arc of a curve concave to the left, and having a <br /> radius of 1949 . 91 feet ( tangent to said curve at last <br /> described point bears North 20°08 ' 32" East ) an arc <br /> distance of 51 . 035 feet to a point ; thence South <br /> 71 °21128" East 48. 5 feet to the point of beginning , <br /> containing an area of 2445 square feet , m're or less. <br /> And said. Council of the City of Redwood City does hereby de- <br /> termine and declare that it is unnecessary to take any lands for the <br /> work of closing the said hereinbefore mentioned -property and that <br /> it is unnecessary to levy any assessment to provide for the closing <br /> of the hereinbefore described property . <br /> All the herein proposed work shall be done in pursuance of an <br /> ordinance of the City of Redwood City entitled "Ordinance No . 333" <br /> passed and adopted by the Council of the City of Redwood City on the <br /> 14th day of March , 1932 , and commonly known as "Redwood City Improve- <br /> ment Procedure Ordinance " ich ordinance is now on file in the office <br /> of the Clerk of the City of Redwood City and to which reference is <br /> hereby made and the same is made a part hereof . <br />
