This on motion of Councilman Fletcher , seconded <br /> by Councilman Rohn . <br /> The following were laid over to the next meeting : <br /> a) Old School building for city hall <br /> b ) Revised tax ordinance <br /> c) Pool Room and Bowling Alley ordinance <br /> d) Termite control <br /> On motion of Councilman Christensen , seconded by Councilman McNulty , there was intro- <br /> duced Ordinance making it unlawful to park or permit automobiles to stand upon <br /> the alley in Hawes Park . <br /> Dr . Lee Otis explained the total amount asked for the band in the sum of $1527 , in <br /> excess of the $1350 originally authorized , stating that the members of the band <br /> would be able to reimburse the City for the excess . With this understanding , on <br /> motion of Councilman Fletcher , seconded by Councilman Christensen , the total was <br /> approved. <br /> U, L . Bunyard , living at the corner of Woodside Road and Union Avenue , called the <br /> attention of the Council to danger from eucalyptus trees near his property and <br /> asked if something could be done about it . The Park Superintendent was directed <br /> to check on the situation and make a report to the Council . <br /> The City Manager read a letter from the office of Henry Witte , City Insurance Agent , <br /> asking instructions concerning the renewal of insurance March 10 . The Manager <br /> was told to have the "Eight Point " supplementary coverage included and to use <br /> the "Blanket" form rather than the specific amount plan. <br /> Councilman Jones , seconded by Councilman McNulty , proposed the adoption of Resolution <br /> in connection with the proposed bus line to be operated by Walter Vandervort , of <br /> 807 Maple Street , San Mateo . Carried. <br /> Jas . T . O 'Keefe , attorney for Tony Cappelletti asked the Council to waive the require- <br /> , <br /> ments of building and zoning ordinances and permit his client to alter and repair <br /> an old building at 110 Pine Street with the understanding that the work would <br /> cost at least $1000 and that plans and work would be subject to the approval of <br /> the building inspector . <br /> The Committee on Perry Street Parking Lot reported that the matter had been referred <br /> back to the merchants as their problem. <br /> It was recommended by the committee and so ordered , on motion of Councilman Fletcher , <br /> seconded by Councilman Jones , that the city engineer submit an estimate of the <br /> cost of setting back the electroliers and reducing the sidewalk width from 15 <br /> to 10 feet along Broadway from El Camino Real to the Southern Pacific tracks . <br />
