472 <br /> MINUTES OF REGULAR MEETING <br /> REDWOOD CITY COUNCIL <br /> NOVEMBER 7 , 19 3g <br /> g : oo P. M. <br /> Upon roll call the following were present : Councilmen H . F. Anderson , E. A. Fletcher , <br /> Wm. Hohn , Its Y. Jones , P . A. McCarthy , G. W . McNulty, Mayor L . C. Christensen , <br /> and City Clerk B. E . Myers. <br /> The minutes of the meeting of October 17 were approved on motion of Councilman <br /> Fletcher , seconded by Councilman Anderson. <br /> Joe Dingman inquired about constructing a shop and store on the Woodside Road and <br /> was referred to the Planning Commission. <br /> Roy W. Cloud appeared before the Council in connection ,pith the property at 2061 <br /> Broadway and reported that he had obtained cost figures for repairing the <br /> building. He suggested that he be given permission to re- shin:1e the roof , <br /> put in a floor and renla,ster , total renair work to cost him $1300 . He also <br /> said he would arrange sewer connections to the one next door if that should <br /> be acceptable tt the Council . On motion Of Councilman Pletcher , seconded by <br /> Councilman Hohn , Mr . Cloud was told to proceed as outlined with the reservation <br /> that if later a new buildins were erected that a se-oarate sewer connection <br /> be made. <br /> Frank J. Reilly of the Frank J . Reilly Company , and Mr . Burrows of the G. W. Williams <br /> Company , were present and in reply to questions from Councilmen indicated <br /> quite positively that they intended on their respective jobs to use just as <br /> much as possible both local labor and material . <br /> C . A. Charles appeared before the Council and asked about Bungalow Auto Courts on <br /> E1 Camino Real and was referred to the Planning Commission. <br /> Alfred Morton, Recreational Director , asked for information about permitting minors <br /> to pa.rtici-pate at the rifle range . He was instructed not to allow any minors <br /> to take part until the question of insurance coverage could be investigated. <br /> • <br /> The Chamber of Commerce in a letter to the Council asked that office space be re- <br /> served for the Chamber in the new City Hall . The clerk was instructed to <br /> reply that space would be allotted as requested with the understanding that <br /> if needed the allocation would have to be vacated. This on motion of <br /> Councilman McCarthy , seconded by Councilman Fletcher , with Councilman Hohn <br /> voting 0No . u <br /> I : a letter to the Council , the County Executive explained that the Erskine Electric <br /> had paid to the City an inspection fee for work on the Court House Annex , <br /> but had not included said. fee in his bid - would the City refund it ? On <br /> motion of Councilman McCarthy, seconded by Councilman Fletcher , refund was <br /> denied, <br /> J <br />
