Fixt . <br /> PWA 1992-F <br /> A careful comparison has been made of the bids received for <br /> Lighting Fixtures and the substitute fixtures proposed. With respect <br /> to the three bids submitted I find, as follows : <br /> GENERAL ELECTRIC SUPPLY CORPORATION , 1201 Bryant St . , S . F. <br /> The all-metal reflectors quoted for Stack Room are not ac- <br /> ceptable. Mirrored glass reflectors were specified. <br /> The ' fixtures proposed for the Main Reading Rooms are 4 3/4" <br /> less in diameter than specified and too small in scale for the rooms . <br /> In general the design of the fixtures is not as attractive <br /> as those specified and would not be as harmonious in their relation- <br /> ship to the rooms. I do not consider the fixtures good looking. <br /> The fixtures are listed in the bids for principal rooms on <br /> a unit basis at one-half the cost of those specified.
