" question arose as to the desirability of continuing; the 1915 Act Committee and also whether or not the 2ouncil should appoint such a com.ittee . The City Manager in- dicated that it was his opinion and desire that this committee should be appointed by him and function with him and that he proposed the names of Mayor Christensen and Councilman McCarthy to serve on such a committee . On motion of Councilman Fletcher , seconded by Councilman McNult;r , the Council went on record as a: reeing with this s prono sal of the City Manager , approved the committee selected by him , and gave the .,,embers of the committee the same authority as the Previous committee had . The City Manager also , for ournoses of adjusting complaints in the Water Department , appointed a committee to work with him , as follows : Mayor Christensen and Councilman Mci`ulty . In order to continue the consideration of civil service and retirement for municipal employees , Mayor Christensen appointed for this purpose the following committee : Councilmen McCarthy , Fletcher , and Anderson .
