<br /> said work and improvements described in said Resolution of Intention No . 1938- 4
<br /> or to the entention of the district to be assessed therefor , or against the
<br /> grades at which said work and improvements are to be done and made , and said
<br /> Council now having acquired jurisdiction to order said work and improvements;
<br /> THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the public interest and convenience re-
<br /> quire the work and improvements herein described, and the Council of the City
<br /> of Redwood City hereby orders the following work to be done and improvements
<br /> to be made in said City of Redwood City , to-wit :
<br /> That Nevada Street be improved
<br /> from the existing pavement near
<br /> Brewster Avenue to the existing
<br /> pavement near Hopkins Avenue, by
<br /> being graded for the entire width of
<br /> said Street between said points of
<br /> existing pavement, and by having
<br /> constructed on both sides of said
<br /> Nevada Street combined cement
<br /> concrete curbs and gutters and by
<br /> constructing between said combined
<br /> curbs and gutters a 4-inch stabil-
<br /> ized slurry base pavement with a
<br /> 1 inch asphaltic armour coat wear-
<br /> ing surface.
<br /> The width of that portion of Ne-
<br /> vada Street hereinbefore mention-
<br /> ed, and the width of the roadway
<br /> thereof and the width of the side-
<br /> walks thereof are to be and are, as
<br /> shown on the plans, profiles, and
<br /> detailed drawings hereinafter re-
<br /> ferred to herein.
<br /> All work provided for herein
<br /> shall be done and made to the
<br /> grades, as shown on the plans, pro-
<br /> files and detailed drawings, which
<br /> grades are hereby adopted as the
<br /> official grades for said work and
<br /> improvements, and reference is
<br /> hereby made to the plans, profile::
<br /> and detailed drawings for a descrip-
<br /> tion of the grades at which said
<br /> work is to be done and said im-
<br /> provementz made and the same are
<br /> made a part hereof.
<br /> All the hereinbefore and herein-
<br /> above mentioned and described
<br /> work and improvements are to be
<br /> done and made at the locations and
<br /> positions and of the sizes and di-
<br /> mensions and of the materials as
<br /> shown and described on the plans,
<br /> profiles, detailed drawings and spe-
<br /> cifications adopted by the Council
<br /> of the City of Redwood City on the
<br /> 18th day of July, 1938, and now on
<br /> file in the office of the Clerk of said,
<br /> City, to which plans, profiles, de- , penses of the work aforesaid, -'aid
<br /> tailed drawings and specifications streets and avenues and portions
<br /> reference is hereby made for a com-
<br /> plete description and Iocation of
<br /> said work and improvement- and
<br /> for further particulars, and the
<br /> thereof now being in public use as
<br /> public streets and avenues.
<br /> And notice is hereby given and
<br /> the Council of the City of Redwood
<br /> same are made a part hereof. City does determine that serial

<br /> five days ' on. or near the Council Chamber - door of the Council of said City
<br /> of Redwood City inviting .sealed. proposals or bids for doing the work and-
<br /> making the improvements ordered .herein. Said City Clerk is also ordered
<br /> and directed to publish a -notice inviting such sealed proposals or bids
<br /> and referring . to the plans ; profiles, detailed drawings and specifications
<br /> posted or on file for. the period required . by law- in the Redwood City Tribune ,
<br /> a any ( except Sunday ) newspaper of general circulation published., printed
<br /> and circulated in the -City of Redwood City , and hereby designated for that
<br /> purpose by the Council of said City .
<br /> It is further ordered that said sealed proposals or bids be publicly
<br /> opened, examined and declared by the Council of said City of Redwood City
<br /> at the hour of 8 :00 o ' clock P. M . of Monday , the 29th day of August , 1938 . "
