Fletcher ,
Wm . Hohn, R. N . Jones , P . A . McCarthy, G . V . McNulty , Mayor L . C . Christensen,
and City Clerk B . E . Myers .
There was received a petition signed by C . T . Everson and I . M . Burke , both representing
the Seventh Day Adventists , in which petition it was requested that the organization
be allowed a permit to erect a temporary wooden tabernacle on the northeast corner
of James Street and El Camino Real, said building to be used about I months . On
motion of Councilman Fletcher, seconded by Councilman McCarthy, permit was given
with the understanding that all special requirements of the City would be met and
that the building should be temporary only.
In a letter to the Council , Mark A . McCann asked permission to move a small office
building from Woodside Heights to a location on El Camino Real , a short distance
south of Five Points , said office building to be used during the developing and
building, up of the Flynn and &Garvey Tract . On motion of Councilman Anderson,
seconded by Councilman Fletcher , permission was given with the understanding that
it would be for 12 months only and revocable at any time ,
The Redwood Highlands Company asked permission to cut Lot 2 , Block 1 , Oak Knoll Manor,
into 2 lots . The request was referred to the Planning Commission .
. The Clerk read a letter from the Redwood City Planning Commission recommending that
permission be given to C . J . Beckman asked the Council if some change in the building requirements could be
made to permit him to utilize 80% of the width of his lot instead of 70 as allow-
ed by ordinance . During the discussion which ensued , it seemed advisable to amend
the ordinance controlling this point , and the City Attorney, on motion of Council-
man McCarthy , seconded by Councilman Fletcher , was instructed to bring in at the
next meeting such amendment allowing up to 800 of the width of a lot 55 feet or
less in width with a clearance at the lot sides of not less than 4 feet .
