448 <br /> MINUTES OF REGULAR MEETING <br /> REDWOOD CITY COUNCIL <br /> OCTOBER 3 , 1938 <br /> 8 : 00 P .M . <br /> Upon roll call the following were present : Councilmen H . F . Anderson , E . A . Pletcher , <br /> Wm . Rohn , R. N . Jones , P . A . McCarthy , G . W . McNulty , Mayor L . C . Christensen , <br /> and City Clerk B . E . Myers . <br /> The minutes of the meeting of September 19 were approved on motion of. Councilman <br /> Anderson, seconded by Councilman Fletcher . <br /> There was read a letter from Jno . H . Skeggs , District Engineer of the Division of <br /> Highways , indicating that he was willing to install signs reading "Redwood City" <br /> wherever he could in tine with the regulations governing; such installation . The <br /> Clerk was asked to acknowledge the letter . <br /> The City Collector submitted the following letter : <br /> "On October 3 , 1938 , Mayor Christensen and City Manager , <br /> C . L . Dimmitt recommended that the sum of 1453 . 87 be accept- <br /> ed in settlement of the charges on the following property <br /> instead of ft504 .29 which is actually due , if the total amount <br /> was paid in full . The property referred to is Arbitrary Block <br /> 70 , Lot 5 or legal description Lot 15 , Block 2 , Oak Knoll Manor . <br /> Delinquent Taxes <br /> " Weed Taxes <br /> " Bond J-6 <br /> Tax Penalties-Costs <br /> Bond Penalties <br /> 160 . 70 <br /> 7.25 <br /> 34/ . 80 <br /> 18 . 08 <br /> 73 . 46 <br /> x'504 . 29 <br /> A payment will be made by the San Mateo County Building and Loan <br /> Association in the sum of P453 . 87 . Please confirm the above <br /> authorization . " <br /> On motion of Councilman Fletcher , seconded by Councilman Fletcher , requested <br /> authorization was given . <br /> The City Collector submitted the following letter : <br /> "On August 26 , 1938 , Mayor Christensen and City Manager Dimmitt <br /> recommended that the sum of P389 . 70 be accepted in settlement <br /> of the charge on the following property instead of `L32 . 99 that <br /> is actually due if the total amount was paid in full . The prop- <br /> erty referred to is Arbitrary Block 116 , Lot 20 or legal descrip- <br /> tion E . 1/2 of Lot 6 , Block 4* , New High School Acres , which was <br /> sold for delinquent taxes on June 30 , 1932 . <br /> Delinquent taxes t 39 . 92 <br /> Delinquent Weed Tax 9 . 82 <br /> Bond Assessment J-10 298 . 13 <br /> Tax Penalties-cost 19 . 69 <br /> Bond penalties 65 .1+3 <br /> P432 . 99 <br /> A payment has been made in the amount of 1'389 . 70 .
