448 MINUTES OF REGULAR MEETING REDWOOD CITY COUNCIL OCTOBER 3 , 1938 8 : 00 P .M . Upon roll call the following were present : Councilmen H . F . Anderson , E . A . Pletcher , Wm . Rohn , R. N . Jones , P . A . McCarthy , G . W . McNulty , Mayor L . C . Christensen , and City Clerk B . E . Myers . The minutes of the meeting of September 19 were approved on motion of. Councilman Anderson, seconded by Councilman Fletcher . There was read a letter from Jno . H . Skeggs , District Engineer of the Division of Highways , indicating that he was willing to install signs reading "Redwood City" wherever he could in tine with the regulations governing; such installation . The Clerk was asked to acknowledge the letter . The City Collector submitted the following letter : "On October 3 , 1938 , Mayor Christensen and City Manager , C . L . Dimmitt recommended that the sum of 1453 . 87 be accept- ed in settlement of the charges on the following property instead of ft504 .29 which is actually due , if the total amount was paid in full . The property referred to is Arbitrary Block 70 , Lot 5 or legal description Lot 15 , Block 2 , Oak Knoll Manor . Delinquent Taxes " Weed Taxes " Bond J-6 Tax Penalties-Costs Bond Penalties 160 . 70 7.25 34/ . 80 18 . 08 73 . 46 x'504 . 29 A payment will be made by the San Mateo County Building and Loan Association in the sum of P453 . 87 . Please confirm the above authorization . " On motion of Councilman Fletcher , seconded by Councilman Fletcher , requested authorization was given . The City Collector submitted the following letter : "On August 26 , 1938 , Mayor Christensen and City Manager Dimmitt recommended that the sum of P389 . 70 be accepted in settlement of the charge on the following property instead of `L32 . 99 that is actually due if the total amount was paid in full . The prop- erty referred to is Arbitrary Block 116 , Lot 20 or legal descrip- tion E . 1/2 of Lot 6 , Block 4* , New High School Acres , which was sold for delinquent taxes on June 30 , 1932 .
