r� Affidavits in the matter of publishing "Notice of Election" and "Nominees for Public Office" for the general municipal election held in the City of Redwood City on the 9th day of April , 1934 , and the affidavit of B . E . Myers , City Clerk, in the matter of the notification of election officers of their appointment and in the matter of mailing sample ballots and precinct election cards to all qualified electors within said city, and in the matter of causing to be published the election notice and nominees for public office as required by law , were on the motion of Councilman McCarthy, secon- ded by Councilman Lambert , and carried , received and filed. This being the time fixed for canvassing the returns of the general municipal election held in the City of Redwood City on Monday the 9th day of April , 1934, the Clerk presented said returns to the Council , and said Council examined the same and found the same properly sealed and in proper condition.
