Adjournment . 7ilLe1±, City Clerk BEM:MR MINUTES OF REGULAR MEETING MOOD CITY COUNCIL NOVE::BER 5 , 1934 8 : 00 P . M . Upon roll call , the following Councilmen were present : Mayor , C . G. Lambert , L. C . Christensen , J . M. Eva, R. N. Jones , P . A. McCarthy , Geo . W . McNulty , City Cler'c , B . E . Myers . Absent : Councilman E . A. Fletcher . The minutes of the meeting of October 15 , 1934 , were approved on motion of Councilman Jones , seconded by C ounc ilman Eva. Victor L. Doppee requested a refund of $25 . 00 of his plumber ' s license for the preceding year to apply in payment of his license for the current year. It was decided that while the circum- stances seemed to warrant reducing the amount paid by Mr. Doppee from $50 . 00 to $25 . 00 for • -- the current and ensuing year , it was not intended to be retroactive , and his request was denied on motion of Councilman McCarthy, seconded by Councilman Jones . A letter from C . G. Uhlenberg , Special Auditor , indicated that the quarterly check had been made and that everything was satisfactory. The letter was ordered filed. At this time there came up again the request from the California Municipal Utilities Association for a contribution of $100 toward payment of certain services which the Association could and would render to cities having public utilities . Councilman McCarthy proposed that the City subscribe for this service and pay the $100 fee from the Water Department . The motion was seconded by Councilman Christensen and carried. A letter was received from C. W . Bowman, Recording Secretary of to San Mateo County Federation of Improvement Clubs and Associations in which he referred to his previous letter making protest to the City about levying a special assessment to take care of 1915 Act delinquencies . Letter ordered filed. Mr . R. Buben requested permission of the Council to add to a building at 47 Avondale Avenue which would in fact create out of it a dwelling , making two dwellings on the same lot . Permission was granted on motion of Councilman Eva, seconded by Councilman McCarthy. The City Attorney again brought un the question of the purchase of the Gillespie property on Roosevelt Avenue explaining the right—of-way across this property now held by the City and County of San Francisco and inquiring what disposition should be made of the small lot with
