15 Councilman Beeger , seconded by Councilman Lambert . The Building Inspector presented a request from Foster & Kleiser in which they desired to erect a large sign on the highway on the Southern Pacific property directly opposite Harrison Street . On motion of Councilman Hildebrant , seconded by Councilman McNulty , the request was denied. The approved claims were ordered paid on motion of Councilman McNulty , seconded by Councilman Hildebrant . Adjournment . City Clerk , BEI.2 : MR MINUTES OF REGULAR MEETING REDWOOD CITY COUNCIL APRIL 3 , 1933 g : 00 P . M . Upon roll call , the following Councilmen were present : Mayor W. J. Dusel , H. A. Beeger , C . J . Rildebrant , R. N. Jones , C . G. Lambert , Geo . V . McNulty , City Clerk, B . E. Myers . Absent : Paul A. McCarthy . Minutes of March 20 were approved by Councilman Hildebrant , seconded by Councilman Jones . In connection with the sign which the Council ordered removed , C . H. Holt appeared before the Council and discussed the matter and maintained that if his sign were removed , other signs similarly placed should also be taken away . On motion of Councilman Lambert , seconded by Councilman McNulty , the matter was again referred to the Building Inspector for investigation , to report at the next meeting. D . P . Flynn , representing Muller , McGarvey and Flynn and also the interests of J. W. Poole , appeared to ask the Council to dedicate a certain 20—ft . strip south of their property which is to be used for the new post office building . As the request was in line with the intention of the Council , Councilman Hildebrant offered the following resolution , seconded by Councilman McNulty , dedicating the particular parcel to public use as an alley . Resolved by the Council of the City of Redwood City that WHEREAS the City of Redwood City is the owner of the real property hereinafter herein described , and , Whereas the public interest and convenience require that said property be dedicated - for public use as an alley , Now therefore , the Council of the City of Redwood City does resolve as follows , to- wit : That the following described real property to—wit that certain lot of land in the City of Redwood City , County of San Mateo , State of California , described as follows : BEGINNING at the point where the line dividing Lots 7 and g in Block 1 , intersects the easterly line of Jefferson Avenue ( formerly Washington Street ) , as shown on " Map of the Property in Villa Lots of J . V . Diller situated in Redwood City "
