the corporate limits of the City of Redwood City and certain isolated territory adjacent thereto ; and WHEREAS , thereafter and on the 14th day of October , 1935 , an application for leave to amend said petition was duly filed before said Railroad Commission and an order amending the petition was issued by said Commission on or about October 21 , 1935 ; and WHEREAS , after proceedings duly had and taken before said Railroad Commission of the State of California , said Rail- road Commission did on or about the 9th day of August , 1937 , make and file its written finding and decision fixing the just compensation for the properties of said Pacific Gas and Electric Company, as more particularly set forth in the proceedings of said Railroad Commission (Decision No . 30033 ) ; and • WHEREAS , The Council of the City of Redwood City , by resolution passed and adopted at an adjourned regular meeting of said Council on the 27th day of September , 1937 , by vote of more than two-thirds of the members of said Council , did determine that the public interest and necessity demand the acquisition by eminent domain proceedings or otherwise of the municipal improvement hereinafter referred to and designated as " Proposition No . 1 , " and did further determine that the cost of said proposed municipal improvement is and will be too great to be paid out of the ordinary annual income and revenue of said municipality , which resolution was duly entered on the minutes of said meeting of said Council and is now on file and of record in the City Clerk ' s office of said City ; and WHEREAS , the Council of the City of Redwood City , by resolution passed and adopted at said adjourned regular meeting of said Council on the 27th day of September , 1937 , by vote of more than two -thirds of the members of said Council , did -2-
