• • h I n <br /> this Ordinance said election shall be held as provided by law <br /> for the holding of municipal elections in said City . The <br /> returns of said election shall be made out aid signed by the <br /> election officers and shall be by the gi deposited with the <br /> City Clerk , together with the ballots cast at said election ; <br /> and this Council shall meet at its usual meeting place and <br /> canvass said returns on Monday , the 8th day of November , 1937 , <br /> being the first Monday after said election , at the hour of <br /> eight o ' clock P .M . If upon such canvass it shall be found that <br /> at least two-thirds of the qualified electors of said City <br /> voting at said election voted in f avor of both of said proposi- <br /> tions , then bonds of said City of Redwood City , not exceeding <br /> in the aggregate the sum of $575 , 0001 may be issued and sold <br /> by said Council of the City of Redwood City for the objects <br /> and purposes and subject to the conditions specified in Section <br /> 3 of this Ordinance . If upon such canvass it shall be found <br /> that at least two-thirds of the qualified electors of the City <br /> of Redwood City voting at said special election on either or <br /> both of said propositions voted in favor of one of said propo- <br /> sitions ( but that the other proposition failed to carry ) , then <br /> bonds of said City of Redwood City in the aggregate amount <br /> specified in the proposition which carried by the affirmative <br /> vote of two -thirds of the qualified electors of said City <br /> voting upon such proposition , may be issued and sold for the <br /> purposes specified in such proposition which received such <br /> affirmative two-thirds vote . The votes cast for and against <br /> each proposition hereby submitted shall be counted separately <br /> and when two-thirds of the qualified electors voting on any one <br /> of said two propositions vote in favor thereof , such proposition <br /> shall be deemed adopted . <br /> -9. <br />
