Road, Redwood City, California, the City Council held a public hearing regarding the <br /> proposed District and received and considered the recommendations from the <br /> Community Development Director and did hear any and all public comments and <br /> objections or protests that were raised by the owners of property within the above <br /> described district pertaining to designating this area an underground utility district. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF REDWOOD CITY DOES ORDAIN <br /> AS FOLLOWS: <br /> Section 1. The foregoing recitals are, and each of them is, true and correct and <br /> constitute the findings in this matter; <br /> Section 2. Said District is hereby established and declared formed, and <br /> designated as "RooseveltAvenue UNDERGROUND UTILITY DISTRICT NO. 2016-1". <br /> Section 3. The boundaries of the District are hereby fixed and determined <br /> as set forth and described in Exhibit "A". Reference is hereby made to the map <br /> of said District b o u n d a r i e s as depicted on Exhibit "B" hereof, attached hereto and by <br /> this reference incorporated herein, for a general description of the District. <br /> Section 4. Pursuant to Section 11.45 of the Code of the City of Redwood City, <br /> the date by which the undergrounding of all overhead utilities, including existing service <br /> drops, and the removal of all wood utility poles overhead wires and associated <br /> structures from all streets, roads, alleys or ways shall occur within said District is <br /> hereby fixed as December 31, 2021. <br /> Section 5. All existing overhead connection and electrical distribution facilities <br /> in such district shall be removed; each property served from such electric overhead <br /> facility shall have installed in accordance with Pacific Gas & Electric Company's <br /> ("PG&E") rules for underground service, all electrical facility changes on the premises <br /> necessary to receive service from the underground facilities of PG&E as soon as <br /> available. <br /> Section 6. PG&E is authorized to disconnect its overhead service 30 days after <br /> completion of the installation of underground facilities. <br /> Section 7. Pursuant to Section 11.45(d) of the Code of the City of Redwood <br /> City, the date by which all affected property owners must provide for services from <br /> underground facilities is fixed as 30 days prior to removal of all overhead utilities, <br /> including existing service drops, wood utility poles, overhead wires and associated <br /> structures. <br /> Section 8.
