Staff who need to take the exam <br /> have up t� three manths to pass the exam The Redwood City Sch+�ol I3istrict will facilitate <br /> necessary Instructional Aide examinatians. Staff are allowed to take the Instructic�nal Aide exam <br /> twice, If the staff person does not p�ss the ex�minatian after two attempts, the staff person either <br /> needs tt�be taken out c�f ratio or remaved fram the program. Providers shall provide t�e District <br /> with a secand list af staff�hat is upd�ted with exam r�sults �s relevant. Thi� list will be pravided <br /> no later than Decemb�r 1. If staff is added throughout the school year an updated list shall be <br /> pravided to the District at the end of the school year. <br /> �taf�'lists should include: <br /> l, Name of staff person <br /> 2. Date of negative TB test <br /> 3. Date af fingerprint clearance <br /> 4. Numbe�r crf years and name c�f college <br /> 5. If#�4 is less than � years, date passed i�structional Aide exam (can mark in progress if it <br /> is st�ll within 3 months of start date and exam has not been taken or passed} <br /> Fing�r�rinting and TB testing must be campleted prior to the staff persan wdrking at t�e schanl. <br /> Ther�can be no exceptions ta this poli�y. <br /> EARLY RELEASE POLICY <br /> The early release pal�cy is as follows. <br /> A child may be rele�sed early from the extended day progr�m,pric�r to the end af program <br /> time b�sed on the following canditions. <br /> l, Attending a parallel program (pragrams in the school or community centers such as <br /> outdvar educ�tion, soccer, basketball, etc.) as long as an �gre�ment nr parmership with <br /> the program exists thus making this parallel pragram tl�e child's enrichment cornpsanent. <br /> 2. Family Erner�;encies{such as death in the family, c�tastraphie incidents, ete.). <br /> 3. Medical appointments. <br /> 4. "V�eather conditians especially if the child walks home. <br /> 5. Child accidenis that accur during program time (program staff should ca11 parent or <br /> �;uardian}. <br /> 6, 4ther co�ditions especially on safety as prescribed by the school. <br /> Whatever the case may be pragram staff should record the date and time af the early <br /> re�e�se departure of tbe child.
