EXHIBIT "A" <br /> SCOPE OF SERVICES <br /> Consultant will perform four (4) groundwater monitoring events befinreen October 2016 <br /> and September 2017, as described in Consultant's "Site Conceptual Model and <br /> Workplan for Groundwater Monitoring and Remediation Planning" (Workplan) dated <br /> July 30, 2014, regarding the perchloroethylene (PCE) groundwater plume in the area of <br /> the Sequoia Station shopping center property at the intersection of EI Camino Real and <br /> Jefferson Avenue in Redwood City, Califomia (the Site). In addition, Consultant will <br /> perform the next phase of tasks associated with implementing the Remedial Action Plan <br /> (RAP)for the site. <br /> Tasks covered by this proposal include the following: <br /> Task 1 —Ongoing Groundwater Monitoring Program (Oct 2016 to Sept 2017 / Four <br /> Events) <br /> Consultant will conduct four groundwater monitoring events, scheduled for the fourth <br /> quarter of 2016, first quarter of 2017, second quarter of 2017, and third quarter of 2017. <br /> The monitoring tasks for each groundwater monitoring event are described below. <br /> Task 1.1— Task ManagemenbField Preparafion <br /> • Consultant will continue to manage the groundwater monitoring tasks, and will <br /> coordinate with the City and Regency Centers to schedule monitoring events <br /> in advance. Consultant will coordinate with the chemical testing laboratory on <br /> sample shipments and analyses, and will plan the completion of the <br /> groundwater monitoring tasks. <br /> Task 1.2— Well Gauging and Groundwater Sampling <br /> • Consultant will measure depth to groundwater, and will purge and sample <br /> water from the 18 accessible monitoring wells. The monitoring event will <br /> include the following: <br /> o Gauge and sample onsite wells in accordance with the proposed <br /> monitoring schedule, as well as the one offsite well installed on City <br /> property in 2008 by Genesis Engineering and Redevelopment <br /> (Genesis) at the intersection of Jefferson Avenue and Middlefield Road <br /> as part of the negotiations with the Bolton family; <br /> o Purge at least three well casing volumes of groundwater from each <br /> well to be sampled, using a Waterra pump and dedicated tubing; <br /> o Measure pH, temperature, and electrical conductivity until the <br /> measurements are stable; <br /> o Collect a groundwater sample from the wells scheduled for sampling; <br /> o Submit samples to a California certified analytical laboratory for <br /> analysis of selected halogenated volatile organic compounds (HVOCs) <br /> by EPA Method 8260B, as well as for selected bioremediation <br /> parameters; and <br /> Page 9 of 13 <br /> REV:08-17-16 FF <br /> ATTY/AGR.2016.217/GES-Professional Services <br />
