b. Georgellen Smith, 660 Fox Court, Redwood City expressed concern for the <br />clients living at the Upton and Jefferson Care Homes; conditions were <br />unacceptable, but closing the Homes would leave the residents on the <br />streets. Assistant City Manager Jean and City Attorney Schricker described <br />legal actions being taken and Council Members thanked Mrs. Smith for <br />bringing this situation to their attention. (101 -05) <br />c. LuAnn Rocklewitz, 3142 Hoover Street, Redwood City asked Council and staff <br />when the Friendly Acres Neighborhood would receive relief from flooding. <br />City Manager Smith advised it would cost $10 Million to stop the flooding <br />completely, but new flap gates are being installed and that should help. <br />-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- <br />Mayor La Berge declared a recess at 9:40 p.m. <br />Meeting reconvened at 9:50 p.m. <br />-------------------------------------------------------------------------- - - - - -- <br />PUBLIC HEARINGS <br />17.
