6.3.C. - Page 4 <br /> RESOLUTION NO. <br /> A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br /> REDWOOD CITY APPROVING, AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY <br /> MANAGER TO EXECUTE, AN AGREEMENT FOR PURCHASE <br /> AND SALE OF REMNANT PROPERTIES BETWEEN THE CITY <br /> OF REDWOOD CITY AND BUTLER REALTY III, LLC <br /> WHEREAS, Applicant, W.L. Butler submitted an application for a Tentative <br /> Map to merge multiple parcels into a single developable lot and an Architectural <br /> Permit to construct a new four-story, 37,207 square foot mixed-use building at 1629 <br /> Main Street and 23 Spruce Street (the Project); and <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Redwood City(City)owns remnant properties located <br /> adjacent to and within the public right-of-way of Hancock Street and Buckeye Street <br /> (City Property), which makes up a portion of the Project proposed by Applicant; and <br /> WHEREAS, Applicant desires to acquire the City Property from the City and <br /> develop the Project; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Project and the property disposition has been determined to <br /> be categorically exempt from the requirements of the California Environmental <br /> Quality Act (CEQA) Guidelines pursuant to Public Resources Code Section 21083.3 <br /> and CEQA Section 15183 and 15332, class 32; and <br /> WHEREAS, on August 2, 2016, the Planning Commission approved the <br /> Tentative Map and the Architectural Permit and found the proposed sale of City- <br /> owned remnant properties to be consistent with the General Plan; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council has determined that the Agreement for <br /> Purchase and Sale of Remnant Properties between the City of Redwood City and <br /> Butler Realty III, LLC (Agreement) attached hereto as Exhibit A, would further the <br /> purposes of and appropriately implement the City of Redwood City General Plan. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED AS FOLLOWS: <br /> Section 1. The City Council finds that the above recitals are accurate and <br /> constitute findings in this matter and, together with the Staff Report and the <br /> supporting materials, including without limitation the Agreement for Purchase and <br /> Sale of Remnant Properties, and all other documents, reports, studies, <br /> memoranda, maps, oral and written testimony, and materials in the City's file for <br /> the applications and the Project, and all adopted City planning documents relating <br /> to the Project and the property including the City's General Plan, Municipal Code, <br /> and other applicable City laws and regulations, have together served as an <br /> ATTY/RESO.0093/CC RESO APPROVING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE AN AGREEMENT WITH BUTLER REALTY <br /> REV: 10-12-16 VR <br /> Page 1 of 3 <br />
