FEHR ' PEERS
$•B• ' Page6
CITYWIDE TRANSPORTATION PLAN FOR
REDWOOD CITY - PROPOSED SCOPE OF WORK
(October 13, 2016)
PROJECT DESCRIPTION AND PURPOSE
Redwood City, like many Bay Area cities, has seen the economy rebound significantly over the past
5 years. With the strong economy, strategic location, and a high-level of Caltrain commuter rail
service, the City has experienced a substantial amount of high-density residential and commercial
development within that same time period. The economic growth has resulted in increased traffic
congestion and questions within the community about the impacts of development. The City
Council and community are seeking ways to better manage growth, by improving the City's
transportation system.
The Citywide Transportation Plan offers the opportunity to showcase Redwood City's commitment
to innovation and creative problem solving. The Plan will set a framework for furthering the City's
General Plan goal of maintaining a balanced, multi-modal transportation network that is safe,
efficient, and minimizes environmental and neighborhood impacts — particularly those associated
with congestion and cut-through traffic. The Citywide Transportation Plan will demonstrate how a
strategic, innovate, and solutions-oriented approach to transportation can meet the mobility needs
of all.
SCOPE OF SERVICES
The following outlines the details of our proposed Scope of Work, which includes (A) Project
Management, (B) Outreach, (C) Existing Conditions, (D) Performance Monitoring Program, (E)
Transportation Engineering Standards, (F) Transportation Demand Management Strategy, (G)
Projects and Programs and (H) Draft and Final Plan.
TASK A: PROJECT MANAGEMENT / ADMINISTRATION / MEETINGS
Fehr&Peers will coordinate with the City on a bi-weekly basis to ensure the project scope, schedule,
and budget are effectively managed. Fehr & Peers will meet with the City's Project Manager in
160 W. Santa Clara Street Suite 675 I San Jose, CA 95113 I (408)278-1700 I Fax(408)278-1717
www.fehrand peers.com
