8.3.B. - Page 6 <br /> RESOLUTION NO. <br /> A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD <br /> CITY AMENDING THE SALARY PLAN AND SUMMARY OF BENEFITS <br /> FOR EXECUTIVE MANAGEMENT CLASSIFICATIONS <br /> WHEREAS, the Redwood City Council has approved amendments to Executive <br /> Management Summary of Benefits, which include increased employee contributions to <br /> the City's share of pension and elimination of employer-paid member contributions; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Redwood City Council wishes to reduce pension cost-sharing <br /> contributions to maintain a competitive salary and benefit package, and such reduction <br /> shall be in lieu of any cost-of-living adjustments; and <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to the Executive Management Summary of Benefits, Council <br /> wishes to maintain a ten percent (10%) differential between Executive Management <br /> positions and subordinate classifications; and <br /> WHEREAS, Redwood City Council wishes to make changes to 401(a) retirement <br /> contributions, education reimbursement, uniform allowance, and make legal and policy <br /> updates or clarifications as indicated; and <br /> WHEREAS, for clarification purposes, non-executive confidential employee <br /> classifications shall be removed from the Executive Management Summary of Benefits, <br /> and a separate resolution shall be submitted for Council approval. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of <br /> Redwood City as follows: <br /> 1. The salary plan for all Executive Management classifications shall be <br /> amended as set forth in Exhibit A. <br /> 2. The Executive Management Summary of Benefits shall be amended as set <br /> forth in Exhibit B. <br /> 3.
