8.3.B. - Page 75 <br /> 10.2.3 For employees covered by this MOU, this amount shall be prorated. (For <br /> permanent part-time employees working (20) or more hours per week covered <br /> by this MOU this amount shall be prorated.) <br /> 10.2.4 In the event the above listed amount plus the city payment towards health <br /> benefit plan premiums, specified in RCPSA MOU Sections 10.1.2, 10.2,2 and <br /> 10.2.3 above, are insufficient to pay 100% of the premiums required of <br /> employees enrolled in any one of the Group health benefit plans, the City shall <br /> make a payroll deduction from the employee's pay to cover the difference in <br /> cost. <br /> 10.2.5 The health benefit plans offered shall be those of the California Public <br /> Employee's Retirement System(CaIPERS)provided however, upon the request <br /> of the City, the parties will re-open RCPSA MOU Section 10.2.5 to meet and <br /> confer on modifying RCPSA MOU Section 10.2.5 to provide a different group <br /> health plan. It is understood that any change from the group health plans <br /> offered by the California Public Employee's Retirement System (CaiPERS) <br /> will only be made by mutual agreement between the City of Redwood City and <br /> the Police Supervisors Association. <br /> 10.2.6 For employees who have ten (10) years of service and retire under the City's <br /> retirement plan, the retirement stipend paid by the City shall be equal to the <br /> premium paid for a current employee (employee only), for the same plan based <br /> on the Bay Area Regional pricing schedule. Retirees that reside in other <br /> higher priced regions will be required to pay the additional premium amount <br /> that is in excess of the Bay Area rates. <br /> 10.2.7 in the event there are any costs not charged to the City due to delays by <br /> CaIPERS and/or other administrative agencies in calculating or reporting these <br /> costs, said costs shall be carried over and charged as administrative costs to the <br /> following plan year and deducted from the aforementioned monthly dollar caps <br /> accordingly. <br /> 10.2.8 All costs incurred by the City to maintain the Group Health Benefits Plan in <br /> compliance with Government Code Section 22750, et. seq., and all costs <br /> incurred by the City to maintain the Cafeteria Plan in compliance with IRS <br /> Code Section 125, shall be paid from the aforementioned monthly dollar caps <br /> identified in RCPSA MOU Sections 10.2.2, 10.2.3, and 10.2.4. Such costs <br /> include, but are not limited to, premiums, surcharges, and/or administrative <br /> fees. <br /> 10.2.9 In the event there are any costs not charged to the City due to delays by the <br /> Group Health Plan Administrator and/or other administrative agencies in <br /> calculating or reporting these costs, said costs shall be carried over and <br /> charged as administrative costs to the following plan year and deducted from <br /> the aforementioned monthly dollar caps accordingly. <br /> 29 <br />
