PUBLIC HEARING - Master Cable TV Franchise Agreement (70"1..~) <br /> <br />City Manager Smith advised discussions with TCI, Inc. regarding cable <br />services for the new police station were progressing. <br /> <br />CONSENSUS: Mayor La Berge determined it to be the consensus of the Council <br />to continue the public hearing until January 14, 1991. <br /> <br />MEMO 1/8/91 <br /> <br />MATTERS OF COUNCIL INTEREST <br /> <br />12a. Council invited everyone to attend the celebration of Martin Luther King, <br />Jr's life on January 17, 1991 at the Boys and Girls Club and advised there <br />were no city issues to be considered on January 21, 1991. <br /> <br />MIS: MurraY/Greenalch to cancel the meeting of January 21, 1991 - in <br />honor of Martin Luther King Jr. <br /> <br />Carried by unanimous voice vote. <br /> <br />MINUTE ORDER NO. 91-005 <br /> <br />12c. <br /> <br />12b. Councilman Murray invited his colleagues to attend the meeting of the <br />CitylCounty Association of Governments on January 17, 1991 at 5:30 p.m. <br />where the bylaws will be adopted and CCAG will accept the closure of the <br />Regional Planning Committee. <br /> <br />Councilman Murray congratulated Dr. Sidney Marchasin on being named <br />President of the Sequoia Hospital Board of Directors and congratulated <br />Sequoia Hospital for having such a fine Board President. <br /> <br />12d. Councilman Stangel announced the Peninsula Corridor Study Joint Powers <br />Board approved the purchase of 52.4 miles of Southern Pacific right-of- <br />way between San Francisco and San Jose essential to transportation <br />programs, including Bart and SP commuter, in the future. <br /> <br />Mayor La Berge thanked Councilman Stangel for his leadership and <br />participation on the Joint Powers Board. <br /> <br />12e. <br /> <br />Mayor La Berge and Councilwoman Buchan presented an update on the <br />situation with the mobilehome owners and the mobilepark owners: Both <br />parties are now meeting with a mediator from the Peninsula Conflict <br />Resolution Center. <br /> <br />MINUTE BOOK NO. 50 <br />Page No. 151 <br /> <br />Reg.
