<br />12f. <br /> <br />Councilman Greenalch responded to the form letters received regarding the <br />poor condition of the proposed little league baseball park at Mitchell <br />FieldlKiwanis Field and spoke for his colleagues in expressing total <br />support for little league and youth services in Redwood City in the past, <br />present and in the future. Council members discussed the history of this <br />dirt infield that new parents want to turn into a field, current drought <br />conditions, Council child care subcommittee, youth services committee and <br />specific plans for the Kiwanis Field.(lot-C5) <br /> <br />CONSENSUS: Mayor La Berge determined it to be the consensus of the <br />Council to direct staff to prepare a report regarding the status of all <br />playing fields in the City, scheduled improvements and impact of drought. <br />MEMO 1/8/91 <br />Councilmembers Murray and Bury thanked Planning Commissioner Nobles and <br />his wife Carolyn, both ardent environmentalists, for taking them and their <br />wives on board their sailboat for an up close and personal trip of the <br />waterways of Bair IslandlSouth Shores. <br /> <br />12g. <br /> <br />12h. <br /> <br />Mayor La Berge invited her colleagues to attend the Business Improvement <br />District meeting and reception on January 8, 1991,6 p.m., at the main <br />Library, and advised that a new proposal will be brought to the Council in <br />March. <br /> <br />Mayor La Berge invited her colleagues to attend the League of California <br />CitieslCouncil of Cities meeting in Cupertino on January 31, 1991 where <br />Bay Vision 2020 will be discussed. <br /> <br />12;' <br /> <br />12j. <br /> <br />Mayor La Berge invited her colleagues to attend the Peninsula Conflict <br />Resolution Center seminar for Council Members and code and law enforcement <br />managers January 16, 1991 in San Bruno. <br /> <br />Councilman Bury invited everyone to attend the Chamber of Commerce general <br />membership luncheon on January 9, 1991 to hear Mayor La Berge present the <br />"State of the City" address. <br /> <br />12k. <br /> <br />----------------------------------------------------------------------------- <br /> <br />13. <br /> <br />BOARD, COMMISSION AND COMMITTEE REPORTS <br /> <br />Senior Affairs Commission appointment for a term expiring April 30, 1993 <br />(Interview held on December 10, 1990.)
