MATTERS OF COUNCIL INTEREST <br /> <br />a. <br /> <br />Councilman Greenalch responded to a letter from Lawrence Easterling and <br />asked staff to review fire inspection fees. City Manager Smith advised <br />fees are being reviewed and a report will be presented shortly.(~o3~O3) <br />MEMO 3/12/91 <br /> <br />b. <br /> <br />Councilwoman Buchan read a portion of a letter from Michael Lutticken, <br />Redwood City Police Officer called to active duty during the Gulf War. <br /> <br />Mayor La Berge advised the City is considering ways to honor Redwood City <br />returning military personnel. <br /> <br />c. <br /> <br />d. <br /> <br />Vice Mayor Bury advised he attended an Inter Service Club Coordinating <br />Council Luncheon today, where they also discussed various options to honor <br />returning military personnel, perhaps on Memorial Day or Independence Day. <br /> <br />---------------------------------------------------------------------------------- <br /> <br />7. BOARD, COMMISSION AND COMMITTEE REPORTS <br /> <br />a. Request for the Civic Cultural Commission to grant Hispanos Unidos, Inc. <br />$600 to fund a mariachi performance at the upcoming Cinco de Mayo Festival. <br />Both Hispanos Unidos, Inc. and the San Mateo County Chapter of the <br />Association of Mexican American Educators with the Redwood City Club <br />Mexicano Americano, Inc\ have expressed interest in sponsoring a Cinco de <br />Mayo Fest i val. (}<n..-o1 ) <br /> <br />Report: Director of Parks, Recreation and Community Services, February 19, <br />1991 <br /> <br />M/S: Bury/Murray to approve grant of $600 to Hispanos Unidos, Inc. <br />Carried by unanimous voice vote. <br /> <br />MINUTE ORDER NO. 91-037 <br /> <br />b.
