Last year's funding for HSFA was for $246,000. The Committee has made <br />recommendations based on their request for an additional $24,000 for FY 2002-2003 <br />totaling $270,000. The Committee has allocated the $12,000 "election expense" <br />funding provided by Council to the Kathleen Mahaney Housing Trust Fund. <br /> <br />Alternative <br />The Council could choose to reduce the total amount requested by the Committee. In this <br />case the Committee suggests all the individual agency recommendations be reduced in <br />proportion to this overall reduction. The Council could also choose to change the individual <br />agency recommendations made by the Housing and Human Concerns Committee. <br />Attachment I of this report, requested by the City Manager, provides the specific numbers <br />for a proportional overall reduction for a total HSFA Program funded at this year's level <br />($246,000). <br /> <br />Fiscal Impact <br />The Human Services Financial Assistance Program is funded with General Fund dollars. <br />The total recommended amount of $270,000 is $24,000 more than the amount allocated in <br />FY 2001-2002. <br /> <br />Teri Chin Corinne Centeno Ed Everett <br />Human Services Manager Park, Recreation and City Manager <br /> Community Services Director <br /> <br /> <br />
