Deliverable: Collision maps and summary statistics
Task C.6: Parking Supply and Demand
The Consultant team will review previously collected parking utilization data from 2015
to understand the existing demand/supply balance within the City. This includes the
downtown areas, where updates to the pricing and employee permit program have
occurred , in addition to other neighborhood locations of concern around the City.
This will include a review of city data (occupancy, duration , revenue, and citations). The
main focus of the parking analysis is on the downtown with additional study of
neighborhood and/or business districts in consultation with City staff.
In order to complete this assessment, the City of Redwood City will provide:
• Recent occupancy data for any of the studied neighborhoods or downtown
• Current or historical downtown parking sensor data/reports (2014 onward )
• Annual revenue and citation data for 2014/2015 by month
Deliverable: Parking data summary
Task C.7: City Case Study Examples
Consultant will provide up to five (5) case study fact sheets of transportation programs
in comparable cities as part of this task. Case study fact sheets will be brief summaries
based on readily available information about city transportation programs, including
policies relating to transportation project implementation , land use development review,
and transportation system monitoring . In addition Consultant will describe current staff
levels and organization within other City transportation departments for comparison to
Redwood City. Case study fact sheets will be developed as separate documents for
public review on the project website.
Deliverable: Case study fact sheets
Task C.8: Transportation Data Collection
A total of $20,000 is budgeted for data collection as part of this task, including labor
hours and traffic data collection vendor fees. Actual data collected will be based on
discussion with the City but may include: daily and peak hour vehicle traffic counts,
bicycle and pedestrian volume counts at key locations, transit occupancy and schedule
adherence checks, or vehicle origin-destination surveys (to identify traffic cutting
through residential neighborhoods) using a big data vendor such as StreetLight.
Deliverable: Data collection plan with associated data
ATTY/AGR/2016.308/FEHR & PEERS CITYWIDE TRANSPORTATION PLAN
REV: 11-03-16 VR
