Councilman Greenalch
reported that the Redwood City Water Department has overallocated 650,000
units; there are 900,000 units banked; and Redwood City received an increase
in water allocations from SFWD to cover new construction.

C.A. Pena, 813 Lakeview Way, Redwood City suggested to Council the per
capita plan plus would be acceptable, but apartment house allotments should
be decreased and businesses should receive one-third the allotment as their
employees are generally there only one-third of the day.

Council Members discussed the advantages and disadvantages of the proposed
options, and the circumstances that would cause a change from the current
plan to a more stringent one; fine structures; and, impacts if banked units
use exceeds monthly allocations.

Title read.

MIS:

MurraYIBuchan

ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 7 OF ORDINANCE NO. 2018 RELATING TO WATER USE
CHARGES IMPOSED UNDER REGULATIONS AND RESTRICTIONS ON THE DELIVERV AND

Regular Meeting Minutes
June 10, 1991
Page 3

MINUTE BOOK NO. 50
Page No. 271

T
