1. 12. Service Request Tracking <br /> The City tracks all service requests and work through an electronic management <br /> system. The Contractor will use the City's system to manage and track all work <br /> performed, cost of labor and materials, and respond to requests. <br /> Contractor is expected to use the electronic system so that the City has timely data as <br /> to the Contractor's projects in the field. <br /> 1. 13. Protection of Property/Public Safety <br /> Contractor will maintain public safety and minimize impacts to property. Contractor <br /> will follow all provisions in the City's Engineering Standards and Contractor's <br /> activities will be in compliance with California OSHA (Department of Industrial <br /> Relations, Division of Occupational Safety and Health) Safety Orders. <br /> 1 - Have available on-site plans for staging area, site security, noise and dust control. <br /> 2- Do not encumber site with excessive material or equipment. <br /> 3- Do not impose any load on any structure that will damage or endanger structure. <br /> 4- Take precautions necessary to prevent annoyance to occupants adjacent to or in the <br /> vicinity of the work. <br /> 5- Contractor is solely responsible for conditions of the jobsite, including safety of <br /> all persons and property during performance of work. This requirement will apply <br /> continuously and will not be limited to normal working hours. Safety and sanitary <br /> provisions shall conform to applicable Federal, State, County, and local laws, <br /> regulations, ordinances, standards, and codes. Where any of these are in conflict the <br /> more stringent requirement shall be followed. All public and private property, <br /> pavement or improvement shall be safely guarded from injury or loss in connection <br /> with this contract by the Contractor at all times. Should any facility, structure, or <br /> property be damaged during operations of the Contractor, he/she shall immediately <br /> notify the proper owner or authorities. <br /> 6- The Contractor at his/her expense, shall rebuild, repair, restore, and make good to <br /> the City's satisfaction all injuries and damages resulting from his/her operations. <br /> 7- Contractor is responsible for supplying, placing, and maintaining all construction <br /> signs, lighted barricades, cones and other related traffic safety equipment to assure the <br /> safety of motorists as well as pedestrians. If a detour route is necessary, please submit <br /> sketch and notify City staff prior to construction activities. Flagmen shall be used if <br /> road is closed to one lane. <br /> 8- For any street closure and reopening, notify the City's Fire Department at (650) <br /> 780-7400 and the Police Depaitment Dispatcher at (650) 780-7100. <br /> 1.14. Site Clean Up <br /> Before final inspection the Contractor shall clean the premises, and unless otherwise <br /> specified remove all rubbish, excess materials, false work, temporary structures, and <br /> equipment. All parts of the Work shall be left in a neat and presentable condition to <br /> the satisfaction of the City. Contractor shall perform final cleanup in phases whenever <br /> the work is completed in phases, and/or turned over to the City in phases, and/or <br /> where the Work is exposed.
