Property Insurance Coverage for Fiscal Year 1991-92 (412-04) <br /> <br />REPORT: <br /> <br />Finance Director, July 22, 1991 <br /> <br />Assistant Finance Director Ponty presented the staff report. <br /> <br />Jack Castle, 827 Mohican Way, Redwood City, described Boring, Reifenrath and <br />Vreeburg and the Redwood City Independent Insurance Agents Association and <br />past 30 years of service to Redwood City, and noted the lack of a "rock <br />solid" quote from Gallagher McNamara. <br /> <br />In response to Council questions Assistant Finance Director Ponty, Dan <br />McNamara from Gallagher McNamara and Bruce Codding, consultant from Warren, <br />McVeigh and Griffin, described industry use of "indicators". <br /> <br />Rick Richardson, 1252 Carson Street, advised local firms support City and <br />service groups, and Council should award bid to a local insurance firm. <br /> <br />Council Members discussed minimum bid requirements and the fact that <br />Gallagher McNamara did not have a "firm price" due to the use of <br />"indicators".
