PUBLIC HEARING - an appeal of the Planning Commission decision to require an <br />Environmental Impact Report for a proposed Fast-Food Restaurant (Taco Bell) <br />located at 120 El Camino Real, Redwood City - Frederic C. Divine Associates <br />and Taco Bell, Inc., appellants (203-10) <br /> <br />Affidavits of Publication of Notice of Public Hearing and Proof of Mailing <br />are on file. <br /> <br />REPORT: <br /> <br />Planning Director, August 12, 1991 <br /> <br />Senior Planner Passanisi advised that Mr. Hugh Murphy, architect for the <br />Taco Bell site at 120 Finger Avenue, representing one of the appellants, <br />Taco Bell Inc., had called today and advised Taco Bell would not be pursuing <br />the appeal. <br /> <br />In response to Council questions, City Attorney Schricker advised the <br />Council could dismiss the appeal which would allow the decision of the <br />Planning Commission to stand; or, conduct the Public Hearing and decide to <br />accept or reject the appeal on its merits. <br /> <br />M/S: Bury/Stangel to dismiss the appeal and allow the Planning Commission <br />decision to stand <br /> <br />Mayor La Berge asked if anyone wished to speak to the question. <br /> <br />William Ross, representing Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Cravalho, 1265 Vancouver <br />Avenue, Burlingame, and Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Mitchell, co-owners of the <br />property at 120 El Camino Real, and representing Taco Bell, Inc. as <br />well, advised that the Cravalhos and the Mitchells wished to proceed <br />with the appeal. <br /> <br />MINUTE BOOK NO. 50 <br />Page No. 329 <br /> <br />City Attorney Schricker, for the record, advised that Mr. and Mrs. Cravalho <br />and Mr. and Mrs. Mitchell as co-owners of the property and co-applicants <br />are to be considered as interested parties to the appeal.
