5.0 CONSTRUCTION OF FACILITIES ON SBSA'S PROPERTY
5.1 Construction Management
SBSA will provide adequate construction management in order to ensure that the
Construction Contractor is constructing the work in compliance with the
Construction Contract Documents. Unless otherwise agreed by the Parties,
principal construction management will be provided by Covello Group, Inc., with
testing and inspection of concrete, soils and pile driving, and cofferdam
construction being performed by specialty subcontractors, and with particular
construction activities being performed by SBSA staff. The principal
construction management activities and the allocation of responsibility are shown
on Attachment Five.
5.2 City's Right to Observe
Representatives of City may observe the construction of facilities on-site but may
not direct, interfere with, or obstruct the contractor or the construction manager.
Representatives of City may attend meetings between SBSA and the Construction
Contractor. SBSA will provide City at least five (5) days' advance notice of
scheduled meetings and will convene such meetings if requested by City.
5.3 Reports
SBSA will provide City regular reports on the progress of construction at monthly
or more frequent intervals.
