6.3.E. - Page 42 <br />A management unit member who is required to work on any of the holidays listed in Article 16.19.1 above <br />shall receive instead a paid day off on the workday either preceding or following the holiday as determined <br />by the department head, or shall receive up to eight (8) hours of Non -Accrued Vacation Leave (NAVL). <br />16.22 Holiday During Vacation <br />In the event any of the holidays specified in Article 16.19.1 above occurs while an employee is on vacation <br />or sick leave, the holiday shall not be charged as vacation or sick leave. <br />16.23 Deferred Compensation <br />Effective October 1, 2002, the City shall contribute an amount equal to two percent (2%) of base monthly <br />salary to a deferred compensation plan offered by the City. <br />Employees on no -pay status will have this amount prorated based on total number of hours of no -pay status <br />during the pay period. <br />16.24 Uniform Allowance for Emergency Preparedness and Outreach Coordinator <br />The City shall provide reimbursement up to six hundred dollars ($600,00) per year as a uniform allowance <br />for the Emergency Preparedness and Outreach Coordinator. Reimbursement is based on a fiscal year. <br />Reimbursement shall be processed through the payroll system upon proof of purchase. Upon mutual <br />agreement of the parties, workers can also purchase uniforms through a voucher system arrangement <br />between one or more uniform vendors and the City. <br />ARTICLE 17 <br />HOURS OF WORK <br />The regular workweek for employees assigned to full-time status shall be forty (40) hours per week. <br />ARTICLE 18 <br />LEAVE PROVISIONS <br />18.1 Sick Leave <br />18.1.1 Sick leave with pay shall be granted to all regular full-time employees, except as hereinafter <br />provided, at the rate of one (1) working day for each full calendar month of service from the <br />commencement of their employment with the City. <br />Pursuant to Article 18.9, a qualifying employee may also request family and medical leave if he <br />or she is unable to perform his or her job because of a serious health condition, or needs to care <br />for a child, following birth or placement, or needs to care for a spouse, domestic partner, child or <br />parent who is seriously ill.
