Begin to formulate Phase II and a community engagement plan <br />The multiple phase approach for the Conceptual Design Project would include: <br />PHASE DESCRIPTION <br />Phase 1 Comprehensive Site Survey <br />Phase 2 Assessment/Plan Development <br />Phase 3 Public Space Public Life Walkshop <br />Phase 4 Design <br />OUTCOME <br />Comprehensive Ground Survey <br />and Drafting <br />Base Map Development <br />Site Inventory <br />Site Analysis <br />Workshop <br />Walkshop <br />Preliminary Conceptual Design <br />Preliminary Cost Estimates <br />Final Conceptual Design <br />Final Cost Estimates <br />Presentation <br />If approved, the project is scheduled to begin with the Phase 1 portion of the work in <br />November 2016 and final presentation is anticipated in early 2017. <br />ALTERNATIVES <br />Council may choose not to approve the professional services agreement in the amount <br />of $147,706.00. <br />FISCAL IMPACT <br />Funds for the conceptual design plans have been appropriated from the FY 2016/17 <br />Capital Improvement Program to the Broadway Streetscape Project. Additional funding <br />will be requested to complete later phases of this project and to direct the Consultant to <br />prepare a proposal for a similar scope of work associated with the selected portion of <br />Main Street. <br />ENVIRONMENTAL REVIEW <br />Approval of a professional services agreement does not constitute a project per the - <br />California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA). <br />
