ORAL COMMUNICATIONS <br /> <br />A. <br /> <br />Daniel Burton, 9207 El Caminto, Gilroy, California, Redwood City employee <br />addressed the Council regarding conduct of employees in the General <br />Services Department and lack of solutions resolving long term <br />problems. (702-15) <br /> <br />In response to Council questions, City Attorney Schricker advised that <br />several years ago, the Council adopted a policy stating that allegations <br />regarding employee conduct can and should be confidential, and that the <br />Mayor could find continuation of Mr. Burton's allegations inappropriate. <br />Also, correspondence regarding employee conduct should go to the City <br />Manager as chief personnel officer of the City. <br /> <br />After Mayor La Berge advised that Mr. Burton's remarks appeared to be out <br />of order, City Attorney Schricker advised that any employee could send <br />correspondence marked "confidential" directly to Council Members <br />regarding any matter. <br /> <br />MEMO 9/17/91 <br /> <br />---------------------------------------------------------------------------------- <br /> <br />4.
