<br />picnic on Sunday was a huge success with special thanks to Minnie Lencioni <br />and Bert Barrett; and the Council team of Councilman Greenalch, former <br />Councilman Britschgi and Councilwoman Buchan made it to the final round of <br />the extremely successful 3rd Annual Project Read Trivia Bee held September <br />20th. <br /> <br />B. Councilman Murray reported on the Belmont School Board meeting of September <br />19th and its support for a joint project with Redwood City for a new school I <br />librarylcommunity center in Redwood Shores; at CICAG meeting of September <br />19th, members were asked to have their Councils take a second look at Bay <br />Vision 20/20, and bring back comments on the "Growth Management Policy <br />Committee, Council of Cities, Draft Report for Discussion", a compilation of <br />cities' comments; and C/CAG plans for discussion of the "Best Schools <br />proposal. <br /> <br />CONSENSUS: It was determined by Mayor La Berge that it was the consensus of <br />the Council to discuss the "Best Schools" proposal at the Council Meeting of <br />October 7, 1991, prior to the next C/CAG meeting. (704-04) <br /> <br />MEMO 9/24/91 <br /> <br />C. Mayor La Berge reported on the new Redwood Shores Lions Club and the Charter <br />Night festivities on September 21, 1991; the North Fair Oaks Council Meeting <br />and public hearing regarding the 5th Avenue grade separation and their 6-4 <br />vote to oppose it; and the Council of Cities Legislative Committee Meeting <br />on Saturday where Senator Kopp reported on the status of reapportionment <br />plans. <br /> <br />D. Angela Burling, Woodside High School student, Redwood City resident, asked <br />how the Redwood Shores school/library/community center would be funded. <br />Councilman Murray described the school district and its separate resources <br />and advised that the rest of Redwood City would not be affected. <br /> <br />---------------------------------------------------------------------------------- <br /> <br />7.
