<br />CONSENSUS: After discussion it was determined by Mayor La Berge to be <br />the consensus of the Council to refer this matter to the staff of the <br />Park, Recreation and Community Services and Park and Recreation <br />Commission if appropriate. <br /> <br />MEMO 10/22/91 <br /> <br />B. Bruce Albin, 569 Compass Circle, also spoke about the conditions at <br />Marlin Park, and suggested lack of adequate staffing and cooperation is <br />part of the problem. (101-02) <br /> <br />---------------------------------------------------------------------------------- <br /> <br />4. WRITTEN COMMUNICATIONS <br /> <br />A. Councilman Murray described letter from Centennial Neighborhood Airport <br />Noise and Safety Task Force regarding the southerly airplane departures on <br />calm days, and suggested that he, Council Members Buchan and Greenalch, <br />(the three members of the Council Subcommittee on Airport Noise), arrange a <br />meeting as early as possible, with County officials, San Carlos Airport <br />officials and Redwood Shores and Centennial Neighborhoods Task Force <br />members. Councilman Murray advised Supervisor Mary Griffin has taken an <br />active role, and that all parties involved have been responsive, but the <br />noise has not stopped. Councilman Murray will take the lead in arranging <br />the meeting. PUBLIC HEARINGS <br /> <br />None held. <br /> <br />---------------------------------------------------------------------------------- <br /> <br />6. MATTERS OF COUNCIL INTEREST <br /> <br />A. Councilman Greenalch discussed the Centennial Neighborhood Airport Noise and <br />Safety Task Force letter, and advised that the former problem impacting one <br />neighborhood, now impacts two neighborhoods, and must be addressed. <br /> <br />B. Councilman Greenalch discussed Councilwoman Buchan's October 17, 1991 memo <br />regarding the Friendly Acres Neighborhood Association Meeting on October <br />16th discussion on overcrowding and their request for Council input. <br />Councilman Greenalch suggested this memo be forwarded to the Housing and <br />Human Concerns Committee for their review and that all recommendations be <br />forwarded to Councilwoman Buchan before the Friendly Acres next meeting. <br />(101-02) <br /> <br />MEMO 10/22/91 <br /> <br />C.
