Traffic Signal Project at Broadway/Brewster Avenue, Roosevelt Avenue/Upton <br />Street and Whipple Avenue Interconnect (702-02) <br /> <br />REPORT: Community Development Director, November 6, 1991 <br /> <br />City Engineer Luck presented the staff report and in response to Council <br />questions explained how and why the new configurations and signals will <br />provide better safety and access to pedestrians. In response to Council <br />concerns City Engineer Luck described how this project resulted from a <br />petition submitted by neighbors who asked the City to correct what they felt <br />was an unsafe situation. <br /> <br />Rudolfo Vasquez of Roosevelt School told the Council his friend was hit by a <br />car on Roosevelt and he was in favor of installing a signal at the corner of <br />Roosevelt and Upton. <br /> <br />Title read.
