In discussing the Sewage Treatment Plant bud-
get, the Council asked if there was any possibility of realizing revenue from the
sale of the sludge from the Plant. City Manager and City Attorney reviewed attempts
which had been made to sell this product and the general disinterest of buyers.
In reviewing the Parking District Budget, the request of Loomis Armored Car Company that
their contract for collections be revised to provide a monthly fee of $560, was
approved on motion of Councilman Rosselli, seconded by Councilman Keckley and
carried. The meeting reconvened at 12:40
P.M., Councilman Bury having entered at 12:20 P.M. during the recess.
The Capital Improvements Budget was reviewed. Councilman Rosselli stated he thought
a tour of the facilities of our City and other cities between here and San Jose
should be taken by the Council before they made arbitrary decisions as to the
priority of capital items.
In discussing the appropriation for the General Municipal Buildings, City Manager
stated that in the Staff's estimation it is imperative to proceed with the revamping
of the Corporation Yard, since we are genuinely concerned with the poor working con-
ditions at the Yard.
Councilman Henderson stated there were other items which in her estimation should
be in the Capital Improvements Budget, whereupon Councilman Petersen pointed out
