2118 <br />violation of Sidewalk Ordinance for curb cut within 221 of each other. Councilman <br />Keekley expressed concern at action of contractor and questioned whether discip- <br />linary action could be taken. City Attorney advised business licensing only control <br />of City. After further discussion as to hardship circumstances in this case, <br />Councilman Rosselli moved to grant variance, if no complaints had been made against <br />the parking plan in the area, seconded by Councilman Henderson. <br />Councilman Granger asked if neighbors were in agreement with this situation. <br />Mrs. Thompson stated only the next door neighbor <br />was opposed to parking plan. <br />Councilman Petersen questioned whether there could be another solution to parking <br />problem in way of a carport and was advised it was not possible. Motion to grant <br />variance lost on roll call vote, Councilmen Bury, Henderson and Rosselli voting yes, <br />Councilmen Granger, Keckley, Petersen and Mayor Herkner voting no. (MINUTE ORDER <br />¢#66-142 ) <br />Application of Arbor Development Company for approval of a Revised Tentative Map for <br />the interior of the block which is bounded by Seventeenth Avenue, Marsh Road, <br />Page Street and Florence Street (Wayne Court East Subdivision) presented for <br />consideration. Council approved certain exceptions to the Subdivision Ordinance <br />on February 28th as recommended by the Planning Commission after submission of the <br />Tentative Map. Council was advised of the subsequent revision to exclude lot 14 <br />from the development, and that Planning Commission had again considered revised <br />tentative map and recommend granting exceptions, subject to certain conditions. <br />Slide shown of the proposed subdivision. There being no written communications <br />or oral protest, Councilman Keckley moved to adopt RESOLUTION NO. 5067 AUTHORIZING <br />EXCEPTIONS TO CERTAIN PROVISIONS OF CHAPTER 30 OF THE CODE OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD <br />CITY, BEING THE SUBDIVISION RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY - WAYNE COURT <br />EAST SUBDIVISION, seconded by Councilman Rosselli and carried on roll call vote, <br />Councilman Henderson voting no. <br />Councilman Granger moved to adopt RESOLUTION NO. 5068 REQUESTING REMOVAL OF REAL <br />PROPERTY ACQUIRED BY THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY FROM COUNTY ASSESSMENT ROLLS AND <br />CANCELLATION OF OUTSTANDING TAXES THEREON. <br />City for Industrial Way Street improvements <br />and carried unanimously on roll call vote. <br />Property had been acquired by the <br />Motion seconded by Councilman Bury <br />Councilman Rosselli moved to adopt RESOLUTION NO. 5069 APPROVING SPECIFICATIONS FOR <br />STRONG MOTION SEISMIC RECORDERS, AND AUTHORIZING CALL FOR BIDS THEREFOR. Council <br />advised specifications have been approved by the U.S.G.S. who will take the read- <br />ings and maintain the equipment after it is installed, and that purchase would <br />be made from District funds. Motion seconded by Councilman Petersen and carried <br />unanimously on roll call vote. <br />Councilman Petersen moved to adopt RESOLUTION NO. 5070 OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />REDWOOD CITY GIVING NOTICE OF, AND DECLARING ITS INTENTION TO, INITIATE ON ITS OWN <br />MOTION PROCEEDINGS TO ANNEX TO SAID CITY CERTAIN TERRITORY; DESCRIBING SAID TERRI- <br />TORY AND DESIGNATING IT BY THE NAME "TOYON ANNEXATION"; GIVING ITS REASONS FOR <br />DESIRING SAID ANNEXATION; MAKING CERTAIN FINDINGS RESPECTING SAID PROCEEDINGS; <br />AND GIVING NOTICE OF THE TIME AND PLACE SAID COUNCIL WILL HEAR PROTESTS TO SAID <br />
