Council was advised <br />real property to be purchased consists of easement for drainage in GID 1-65 project, <br />for creek improvements in area lying within the area bounded by Bradford, Main, <br />Marshall and Jefferson Avenue, SD -3 project. Slide shown of the area involved. <br />was <br />Council also advised $20,000 appropriation being requested/for right-of-way, and <br />that this sum had been budgeted prior to the passage of the bond fund and now since <br />bond funds available, Staff recommends use of this appropriation as partial payment <br />for a portion of the property City proposes to buy from the Parking District. <br />Motion seconded by Councilman Keckley and carried. <br />Councilman Keckley moved to grant extension of time to July 15, 1966, as requested by <br />C. Norman Peterson Company, contractors, for completion of the Bay Road Area Storm <br />Drainage System, Unit II, as recommended by Staff, seconded by Councilman Bury and <br />carried. (MINUTE ORDER #66-155) <br />Councilman Petersen suggested a direction sign at Valota Road on Jefferson denoting fact <br />this is a through street to Woodside Road. (Memo 6/28/66) <br />Councilman Bury felt contractor and foreman should be complimented for con- <br />struction work operations. City Manager stated letter would be prepared for Mayor <br />to sign. (Memo 6/28/66) <br />Councilman Petersen left the meeting for five minutes at 10:05 P. M. <br />Councilman Keckley moved to adopt RESOLUTION NO. 5084.APPROVING SPECIFICATIONS FOR <br />NEW POSITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT. City Manager stated this covered recommendations <br />made by Staff and approved by Personnel Board covering Deputy Directors in Depart- <br />ment of Public Works, Police Matron -Supervisor, and Water Operations Supervisor. <br />Motion seconded by Councilman Henderson and carried on roll call vote, Councilman <br />Petersen being noted absent. <br />Councilman Bury moved to introduce Ordinance amending Sections 5, 6, 14, 15, 28, 32, <br />33, 36, 37 and 38 of Ordinance No. 1232, the Salary Ordinance of the City of <br />Redwood City, adding Section 4.5 thereto, and providing for the operative dates <br />of said amendments and additions, seconded by Councilman Keekley and carried. <br />Councilman Keckley moved to introduce Ordinance repealing Section 2.12.2 of, and add- <br />ing Section 2.12.2 to, the Code of the City of Redwood City, relating to the <br />consolidation of the offices of City Engineer and Superintendent of the Public <br />Services Department, seconded by Councilman Petersen and carried. <br />CLAIM of Pacific Telephone & Telegraph Company for property damages alleged to have <br />been caused by City's contractor on storm drain construction, was denied and <br />referred to insurance carrier on motion of Councilman Petersen, seconded by <br />Councilman Granger and carried. (MINUTE ORDER #66-157) <br />CLAIMS: Nos. 57045 to 57137, totaling $389,007.03, were approved on motion of Council- <br />man Rosselli; seconded by Councilman Henderson and carried. <br />
